Reminds me of the great campaign from AMC to advertise their movies in 2007 and 2008 (see below). I think both these videos show how a well-cut montage can invoke the same emotions the viewer feels when watching the orignal material as well as something entirely new. By puzzling together clips from different movies, you can tell a new story that builds on the great stories behind you. AMC has done this through it's monthly promos: not only do they advertise the movies they will show that month, they have re-branded the cable network as the place to go for "new classics" that make you feel good. I think that is a very powerful tool to have as an advertiser and a PR professional.
