Professional Work

In May 2010, Holly began the pursuit of her MBA at Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University. She currently works as a graduate research assistant for Coles Alumni and as a dance instructor at Holdheide Academy. In addition to being great exercise, working at Holdheide gave Holly the opportunity to build her portfolio when she learned about the school's online presence. Holly filmed and edited a brief promotional video for Holdheide that is now visible on the school's website.

Between November 2008 and May 2009, Holly interned with the Health Digital Public Affairs team at the Edelman Washington DC office. Clients included both non-profit and for-profit organizations in the health care industry. Most notably, Holly worked on the now-viral video “Healthiest Nation in One Generation,” part of the American Public Health Association’s National Public Health Week.

As an intern with OmniBlue Marketing, Holly authored and maintained the Who’s In Fashion Blog. During this time, Holly researched and contacted local and independent designs who were subsequently featured on the blog.

From 1999 to 2007, Holly's articles and short stories were featured in the popular online magazine Kiwibox.com. Although much of her participation in later years consisted of behind-the-scenes work and reporter management, her articles may be viewed here.

Student Work

Mosquito Bytes is an educational Web site designed to alert families of elementary-school aged children to the steps they can take to prevent mosquito-borne illnesses, such as the West Nile Virus. The site was launched in 2006 as part of her final project for CM510, Computers in Communication to feature Holly’s skills in Web design and video production. The 30-second public service announcement for Mosquito Bytes may be viewed on the About page.

Comm. Ave. appeared in the print version of The Daily Free Press during the 2005-2006 school semester. The comic pokes fun at Boston University students, the city and the professors. The comic is currently archived at Drunk Duck and may be viewed here.

From 2005 to 2007, Holly’s articles, op-eds and Letters to the Editor appeared in the Daily Free Press. These articles are currently archived at the Daily Free Press Web site.
